StyleMe
Project Type: UI/UX Design
Design Problem: The average person wears 20% off their wardrobe in his or her closet. StyleMe is an App built to help eliminate the decision for what to wear everyday for users by giving recommendations based off weather, location, schedule, and travel plans. Users will be able to input pieces into their own virtual wardrobe and each day, the user will get notified suggestions of outfits that they can wear for the next day based off these factors. Users can easily synchronize their calendars and plan out their outfits for vacations and trips based off activities.
Process: Discover, Define, Develop, Test, Iterate. We got a chance to create a solution for an everyday problem. We started off by doing market research and creating our target persona along with a context story. Next we started sketching out designs and did research on our paper prototype with five different participants that fit our demographic. We collected that feedback and made sure to incorporate that within our high fidelity designs. We did another round of research with five participants and updated our designs one last time.
Final Solution: Our goal was to think through each and every problem the user has and a design that helps answer that. We kept in mind all five UI design principles: consistency, perceivably, learnability, predictability, and feedback.
Applications: Figma, Adobe Lightroom
